Dr. Tim Studstill will serve as Interim Minister of Music for First Baptist Church of Lewisville. Tim is a graduate of OBU and has his Masters and Doctorate from Southwestern Seminary. He has served churches in Alaska, Oklahoma, Kentucky and Texas since 1978. He has served as a consultant with the Church Music Department of the Baptist General Convention of Texas since 1997, and was appointed as the Director of the Music and Worship Ministry Team with the BGCT in 2003. Dr. Studstill also serves as the chairman of the annual "William J. Reynolds Sacred Harp Sing" on the Southwestern Baptist Seminary campus. He is also on the Executive Committee for the Baptist Church Music Conference and serves on the Advisory Board for the Center for Christian Music Studies at Baylor University. He has been published in "The Baptist Way"
(BGCT), Music & Worship Matters (BGCT) and "Let's Worship" (LifeWay). He also works with the Singing Women of Texas and the Texas All-State Baptist Youth Choir.
